The
Black Forest is Germanys highest and largest low mountain range (Feldberg 1,493 meters). Numerous are the mountain peaks with more than 1,000 meters in height - numerous rivers, streams and nature reserves. Large nature reserves are in the area of the Black Forest High Road. Highly visited lakes in the Black Forest are the
Schluchsee and the
Titisee.
However, the Black Forest is known not only for its tourist attractions, but also for the production of cuckoo clocks and jewelery.

- Monasteries: St. Blasien, St. Peter and St. Märgen

- Cable Cars: Feldberg, Belchen, Schauinsland
- Amusement Parks: Steinwasenpark, Hasenhorn Coasterbahn, Europapark Rust
- Flying: Hang gliding and paragliding
- Museums: Clock Museum in Furtwangen, Phonomuseum in St. Georgen
For the winter sports season, there are winter sports resorts and locations for alpine and nordic ski types throughout the Black Forest. For the period from spring to autumn, the Black Forest is an excellent area for hiking and mountain biking.
